With the expertise of one of Ireland’s leading ESG consultancy firms, and our dedicated sustainability lead, we are in the process of developing an eco-friendlier business model. We have taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint through Life Cycle Assessments, collaborating with our supplier base to source lower embodied carbon materials, installed a renewable energy solution across our factory and offices. We have teamed up with the Supply Chain Sustainability School to ensure all Castle employees receive adequate training and are currently establishing a program to implement this training so we can all continue to work together for a greener future.

Life Cycle Assessments, completed on several 3D volumetric offerings to identify “high embodied carbon” materials & source greener options. 90% of our power for our Modular Factory and Offices comes directly from our roof mounted 165kw Solar PV system. Use of compactor & recycling waste to reduce volume to landfill. Reduced the steel content in our bathroom pods by 72% by switching from hot rolled steel to self-manufactured light gauge cold rolled steel. Removed the need for shot blasting and painting from several of our modular products and hence have improved our impact on the local environment. Signed up to DC for Bees “All-Ireland pollinator plan” to enhance our corporate social responsibility program Have worked successfully with our trade partners on 2 x LEED Platinum projects and several other LEED projects. Created a training roadmap to engage & upskill all employees on sustainability and environmental issues Joined the Supply Chain Sustainability School Ireland at the end of January 2024 and have been awarded a bronze badge Rolled out Castle Care, employee wellbeing resource. (International women day, wellbeing day, yoga & sporting events Trained on Green Badger LEED management software & Data requirements to help clients achieve LEED Platinum objective
